Carrés and Cretas

The base of the carrés are natural pigments, kaolin clay and graphite. Its characteristic square shape, as well as its rich, easily blendable colors allow for very interesting dry drawing work.

The bars that are used to draw, make sketches or studies in which chiaroscuro and volume are used are known as "chalks".
