Modeling clay, made up of metal particles, which after modeling if we bake it remains hard as metal, making it a fantastic material for making jewelry and easily customizing our pieces.
We can make sculptures, jewelry and other objects. The material shrinks by 17-20% after firing.
Instructions for use:
Open the vacuum container and remove the piece of clay.
Condition the piece of clay with a little distilled water or another type of oil. We can condition our hands for this task.
Once the piece is finished we must let it dry before baking it, we can put it on a radiator or some low temperature heat emitter we can also use a small dehydrator
We must fire the bronzclay inside activated carbon, this will reduce the oxidation of the pieces. We can fire several pieces leaving a space between them with activated carbon. We do not recommend that parts touch the metal container directly. We can use a stainless steel container to put the activated carbon and our bronzclay designs
Baking times, for pieces of 3 mm thickness or less, we can set a firing ramp of 260ºC up to 850ºC and hold for 2 hours. Total time including oven heating will be 4 to 5 hours
Larger pieces can start with firing ramps of 130ºC up to 850ºC and hold for 3 hours, with total firing ramps of 9 hours. Experiments have been carried out burning the piece with a torch, it is not recommended, but there are users who have experimented with it.
Once the piece is fired, the piece can be sanded, burnished, patinated or soldered with traditional materials for jewelers.
